Music
We have been blessed with a long-standing history of muscial excellence. Sacred, inspirational and contenporary Christian Music is offered in many forms during our worship services and special events.
Chancel Choir
Under the direction of Dorcinda Knauth, Redeemer's Chancel Choir continues a long standing history of musical excellence. Our Choir leads the vocal portions of our worship, and sings specially selected anthems on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Sundays of each month.
Often incorporating instrumental accompaniment, the Sr. Choir also performs at a number of special events both at Redeemer and elsewhere in the community.
Reformation Singers
Months with a 5th Sunday bless us with yet another opportunity to make joyful sounds. Under the direction and accompaniment of Steve Färdig, a group of volunteers sing uplifting songs that will make you want to join in the fun (please feel free).
Tower Chimes:
A traditional chimestand of 11 bells is played by various chimers at the beginning of each service, and at other times for special events.
The instrument was installed in 1913 using bells made by Meneely/Wvlt. The largest bell is F in the middle octave.
Handbell Choir
Together with director Bill Chandler, Redeemer's Evangelical Ringers enrich our services in ways that few congregations enjoy. As you will see in the video, this multi-generational group provides a model for harmony in its many forms.
In addition to their anthems on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month, the Evangelical Ringers participates in special local and regional events. Most recently, they participated in the Hudson Valley Handbell Festival held in Nyack, NY.
Youth Choir
Each month on the 3rd Sunday, our youth proudly demonstrate why Sunday School Rocks!
